DESCRIPTION
Latexbond is water based bonding agent. Latexbond is formulated of water based styrene-butadiene polymer latex that gives high bonding characteristics. It’s used as an admixture to significantly improve the properties of mortars in several ways:
- Increases bonding to the substrate.
- Improves elasticity.
- Increases abrasion resistance.
- Makes mortars water impermeable.
- Eliminates shrinkage and prevents resulting cracks.
- Improves plasticity, water retention and workability of fresh mixtures.
- Improves resistance to chemicals and petroleum products
USE
Latexbond is use for bonding of new concrete to old concrete, repair of concretes, cement flooring mixes for screeding and patching, filling/injection grouts, tiling, waterproofed-screed and setting mortars.
ADVANTAGES
Extremely good adhesion
Improves the adhesion of cement-based mixes.
Reduces shrinkage and cracking for repair and screeding use.
Effective in increasing the workability, waterproof and cohesion of cement mixes.
Reduce water content to improve strength without loss of workability
Non-corrosive Ready for use

APPLICATION
Bonding layer between old and new concrete or mortar. Repair mortars and thin layers.
Wear-resistant, dust-proof floor screeds.
Waterproof cement mortars, resistant to water pressure. Plasters with high strength and water impermeability.
Mortars with resistance to chemicals and petroleum products.
Grouting mortars for natural stones.
Mortars for forming grooves across wallfloor joints.
Application For Cement Mortar Mixes
Recommended ratio with:
Portland Cement ( 50 kg ) + Fine Sand ( 150 kg ) + Latexbond ( 10 kg ) + Water ( 5 kg ).
Apply a 5-6 mm render with a notched float. Press the brick or tile into the render. The same mix should be used later for grouting purposes
Application For Floor Patching
Recommended ratio with:
Portland Cement ( 50 kg ) + Fine Sand ( 100 kg ) + Latexbond ( 10 kg ) + Water ( 5 kg ).
Apply a 5-15 mm render with a notched float. Press the brick or tile into the render. The same mix should be used later for grouting purposes. Dampen/wet the prepared substrate, apply a bond coat and while still wet, place the screed, repair or render mix by using a wooden float to apply and compact. Repair and screed mixes are best placed at a semi-dry consistency, rammed into place. Finish with a steel float. Good curing is essential to prevent drying and cracking
