DESCRIPTION
Drymas SL screed is a cement based, protein free self leveling screed which can be used as a single component system with water or as a twin pack system using a liquid additive such as Eco Latex for enhanced adhesion, flexural strength and water resistance. It is designed to provide excellent flow properties, self-smoothing characteristics, rapid walk on times and good adhesion to a variety of substrates.
COMPLIED STANDARD
• TCVN 7239:2014
• EN 998, EN 1015
• BS 4551
ADVANTAGES
• Excellent flowability and mix consistency to achieve smooth, flat floors.
• Excellent compressive and bonding strength.
• Excellent abrasion resistance.
• Time and cost savings due to quick and easy laying.
• Pumpable through standard pump systems for speed over large areas.
• Shrinkage compensated.
• Can be used for internal and external areas
METHOD TO USE
Surface preparation
The surface to be laid should be free from dirt, dust, oil, grease or other contaminants. Any loose material must be removed by either vacuuming or by pressure washing. All concrete substrates must also be sound with adequate strength to assure good bond. It is recommended that the level of the existing surface be surveyed to check for excessive deviations which should be rectified.
Priming
The prepared surface should be primed with Latexbond using a soft brush or a cotton roller and be allowed to dry till tacky. After the first coat has become dry to touch, a second coat should be applied, especially for porous surfaces. Latexbond comes in ready-to use form and thus should be used without any additional water.
Mixing
Pour one 25kg bag of Drymas SL Screed into a bucket with 4.0 to 5.0 litres of water and mix with an electrical paddle for about 5 minutes to obtain a homogeneous lump-free mix. Mixing can also be done using an automatic pump/mixer system. Its highly flowable characteristics will be maintained for about 25 minutes
Application
Spread the mix in one coat from 5 to 20mm either by pouring or pumping. To ensure uniform and level surface, the material must be continuously spread. Adjustments of level may be made by the use of a spiked roller, notched squeegee or any suitable tool.
For placements of more than 20mm, each subsequent layer should only be laid before the previous layer completely cures and hardens (3 hours norm). Use a spiked roller over the freshly applied material to release any en-trapped air which may be present after mixing and placing. Drymas SL Screed should be protected against direct sunlight and drying winds after placing during the first 3 hours of curing.
CONSUMPTION
It covers approximately 1.8kg/m2/mm depending on substrate condition. A 25kg bag yields approximately 14 Litres of Drymas SL Screed mix.
PACKING
Drymas SL Screed is coming 25kg/bag
